In
1969, Gambale had the idea of producing coloured cement roofing
tiles, starting its production with six workers and a semiautomatic
plant that could produce 1000 tiles/hour.

In
1974, there was the first change, using a completely automatic
new plant able to produce 2300 tiles/hour.
In the 80's, there was an historical change for Gambale,
with the creation of a new kind of tile exclusive in Europe,
the Coppoportoghese, source of pride of the company.
Today the factory stretches for 50.000 square meters with
four sheds for the production of full roofs and it has a productive
capacity of 64.000 aluminium alloy moulds for the daily production
of cement roofing tiles.
The are three types of concrete tile:
DOPPIA
ROMANA
COPPOPORTOGHESE
COPPOMEDITERRANEO.

There are three production plants:
One for the
production of Doppia Romana and Coppomediterraneo.
One for
the special production of the prestige type named Coppoportoghese.
One for
the production of ridges and other components for the finish of
the roof.
In
this way, the productive capacity was tripled with the possibility
of organising more working shifts as well.
The last novelty produced is Antica Torretta, a prefabricated
chimneypot, innovative for its laying practicality.
It accurately reproduces the traditional chimney caps made with
old bricks. Produced with high technology systems, it fits in the
context of historical outlines and redevelopment with no problem.
The
constant target of the company is to keep improving the quality
level of the products, in order to work with market sectors that
prefer particular and high quality products.
